Thankfully, Boveda starter kits remove the guesswork when it comes to humidifying wooden instruments! The large Boveda starter kit is suggested for larger wooden instruments, including but not limited to cellos and upright bass. Each kit includes two leakproof holders (one double-pouch holder and one single-pouch) and three humidification packets, each good for three months of use. The leakproof holder fits neatly on top of strings, under a tailpiece, or in an open portion of a gig bag or case. Simply close your case, and the control packet maintains humidity within a constant stable range — typically between 40% and 60%, the ideal range for classical instruments.
