  1. Kinda works

Posted by John K on 11th May 2017

A full-size upright Bass with the peg extended leans too far forward on the stand and is a bit precarious. At this price I would have expected real wood rather than composite

  2. Great stand and stool

Posted by Unknown on 6th Oct 2016

Absolutely love this. Playing in an university orchestra, it is great for me to have a stand to keep the bass off the ground. The stool is very comfortable and the height is perfect. Even my non bassist peers like this stool. Top notch

  3. Re bass stand

Posted by David Reichley on 2nd May 2016

At the momennt, I'm only using it as a stationary stand and stool at home. As a stand, it's solid, easy to get the bass on and off. As a stool, it's comfortable and it seems like a good height, although it will take some getting used to as I've played standing for 45 years. Simple and effective design, I had no problem assembling it the first time and didn't need to view the instruction sheet. Solid construction. All in all, pretty nice!

  4. Does the job

Posted by Max Murray on 22nd Feb 2016

I purchased this product specifically for use doing pit work. The show I'm currently doing has the orchestra on stage, and the space is tighter than usual, with no place to lay down or tie up the bass. Having this stand helped solve some logistics .
As a stool, it takes some getting used to. The playing position is good, but great awareness must be maintained to keep from tipping backwards - the construction is rock solid, but the balance point is not the most stable for this full-figured bassist (5'10", #255) - and the thin seat padding leaves much to be desired doing 8 shows/wk. I will be adding an additional custom cushion to alleviate that shortcoming.
Bottom line, I'm glad to have this product for specific situations. Thanks KC Strings.

  5. Excellent form and function!

We got this bass stand for our 13 yr old bass player. He loves it. Its assembly is a breeze. He enjoys practicing more now that his bass is not shut away in its case. I like that it is not lying on its side waiting to get damaged.

  6. beginner

Posted by grayson kelley on 16th Feb 2016

seems fine...to early to tell how comfortable the seat will be long term.. at 6"3 stand appears to be alittle short for me..may just take time to get used to it...gk

  7. Solid

Posted by Unknown on 25th Jun 2015

Was much more solid than expected.

  8. Great for Recording Studio Use

Posted by Eric Sills on 10th Jun 2015

I sometimes isolate upright bass in my vocal booth while recording. I wanted something to use as both a sturdy stool and a bass stand. This stand fits the bill perfectly. Seems very well made and sturdy.
