Our shop provides violin, viola, cello and bass rentals. Your rental payments can be applied toward the purchase of any instrument. Call us for information.
We do violin making demonstrations. If you would like to bring your class to our shop, or would like us to do a demonstration at your school, please call us.

ABOUT US
Greetings from all of us at Saint Louis Strings violin shop.
Greetings from all of us at the Saint Louis Strings violin shop. It is run by master luthier Michael Kocher. A
violin player since age 10, he began making violins in 1982 under Willis Gault. Moving to Boston in 1986, he continued
his studies under Ray Melanson. Michael then attended the Violin Making School of America where he met Anton Krutz.
Graduating in 1994, he worked in repair and making violins in Washington D.C. before joining K. C. Strings in January
1996, and in 1999 opened Saint Louis Strings.

Saint Louis Strings is a full service shop located in Dog Town specializing in repair, regular and acoustic
restorations. It is headed by luthier Michael Kocher who is backed by the full staff of K. C. Strings Violin Shop. The
instruments,services and resources of St. Louis Strings and K. C. Strings are available in St. Louis.
RENTALS
Our shop provides rentals. Your rental payments can be applied toward the purchase of any instrument.
SCHOOL ORDERS
Saint Louis Strings is dedicated to producing and distributing the best sounding instruments in any price range. It is our goal to provide schools with the highest quality instruments available while staying within the confines of their budget. We offer a large discount off of our retail prices for school instrument bids. We can customize instrument outfits to the individual needs of teachers and schools. Our flexible policy has allowed us to outfit dozens of school districts across the nation.
