KRUTZ 700 Artisan 5-Star Fiddle
Built on a 14” viola body, the KRUTZ 700 Artisan 5-Star Fiddle offers exceptional performance and looks for the price. The scale is a little longer than a violin, but the sound is worth it. KRUTZ 700 Artisan 5-Star fiddles are partially crafted in our affiliated private shop in Beijing from Asian wood. These instruments are shipped to our Kansas City workshop rough and unfinished, where professional craftsmen do extensive finish work on them. The instruments are graduated, fitted with an advanced bassbar and varnished. These fiddles have greater projection and tonal resonance, suitable for advancing students and amateur adult players.
Set-Up: Seasoned spruce top; Seasoned maple back, ribs and scroll; inlaid purfling; Higher flame; Acoustically enhanced wood sealer; Shaded oil varnish; Ebony or boxwood fittings; Aubert bridge; D’Addario Helicore strings; wood tailpiec , Wittner mechanical pegs. Bridge, pegs, fingerboard, nut and soundpost assembled, dressed, fitted and tonally adjusted in our Kansas City workshop.
